The situation here has been rather hopeless for a long time now. Things are becoming uglier every day. It's much easier to find a job when you already have a job so for those who haven't considered looking for something new, now is the high time. I received a new offer very quickly, even though I thought I was completely unmarketable and that I had little chance of getting something better. I know some people who aren't worried at all about the increasingly dire situation in the company and it's really hard for me to understand?

Not surprised you felt that way. Another belk specialty, beating down the associates. If you think you can't find better, than belk can continue to treat you that way. Little secret belk and their stupid surveys and metrics do not justify me as a person. Things have gotten very sad at our store and I have hung in because I thought they would close soon and I would retire but I don't know if I can hang in much longer. It is hopeless but we are supposed to say it is ok.
