Having a hard time getting out of Claims after being a Claims manager for 7 years. Heard other depts think Claims managers are a joke. Is there any truth to that?

Realistically, one big reason is that there are SO MANY team managers in claims, that it's hard to go elsewhere. The rest of the company can only absorb so many, that they can be really picky.
As opposed to the people you manage, who are oftentimes just not allowed to leave.
“I heard” and “other departments think.” Powerful, riveting stuff right there🙄
What I can’t believe is the number of people that don’t recognized when they are being trolled.
LOL! People at an MG5 or MG6 level come to this place to get all their questions answered. If thats the case I think this person answered their own question within the act of asking the question.
Are you a team manager or claims manager (2 levels above a TM)? Not sure if this is the place you would get an answer to your question.
You are at a "Claims Manager" level and asking on here if you can go lateral. Ok "Claims Manager". This place is doomed.
Any manager at SF is the same as a politician.
Hard to manage Spider monkeys…..
I think SF managers in general are a joke. I’ve been in underwriting and claims. Both departments need to overhaul managers.
In claims TMs don’t know what the he-l they are doing. They can’t write estimates, don’t know how to manage their teams and most seem more interested in advancing themselves than looking for talent on their teams.
In underwriting TMs don’t know how to do anything but rollover for agents. Many have never been underwriters and often are being managed by folks on the team instead of the other way around.
If anyone thinks claims managers are a joke it’s because you guys don’t do any managing at all.
'Claims manager'.....troll..
And yes..y'all r a joke
