I've given too many of my years to this place to just walk away. What I won't do anymore is anything beyond my job. I've been filling three to four roles every day for months because we have nobody else to do it. Well, from now on, it won't get done. Things won't get better until we start standing up for ourselves. That's exactly what I plan to do from now on.

So are you, bbby, closing shop or not?
You have not "given" years ..you have been paid correct? As someone else said this is not an Airport..you do not have to announce everything
Quiet quitting aka I only want to be scheduled 4 hours a week and work at the customer service desk. You think we don't just stop giving you hours when we see you refuse to work? That is funny.
Give an inch they take a mile. The more you go above and beyond the more will be asked of you in what is the final days. Is that something you really want to do?
what motivation is there to go 'above and beyond'? if you put off your job to do others, no one is gonna help you get caught up with your initial work. there's no recognition or even a simple 'oh hey thanks', just more work and less people to do it. i definitely understand where the OP is coming from
This is sad!Not everyone that has been working at BBB for a long time is doing this "so called quiet quitting."A lot of us still go above and beyond for our customers regardless of what is going on in the store.
quiet quitting, meaning they don't leave their jobs, but instead reject the idea of "going above and beyond" in the workplace
