May have to roll out redundancies earlier than expected. Lost bid lost revenue. Just lost

The high the demand for supply chain is increasing the longer the lead times are becoming, to make it worse these orders which are coming thru have shorter lead times. That is one issue, the other is poor quality. As it is being seen just now, parts arriving from supply chain, sitting not being checked by QC as they have certificate to confirm sizes are ok. Then when parts are being built they don’t fit, part not correct. In-house wasn’t perfect but was far better than this and it was controlled. They will learn a very hard lesson by relying on supply chain too much.
The big players in the industry have already picked up 100 + tree orders this year and are established in the supply chain, they do not rely on in house manufacture using antiquated machines and manufacturing practices.
The investment of millions in new machinery was not part of the founding owners business model but times change.
The company listened to manufacturing and supported the need for new modern machinery, it back fired because the decision was not aligned with other considerations such as a declining back order book and a reduced market share of orders available.
The ROI approach should have always been a factor and it was re-emphasised by financial experts now running the business along with support for the supply chain and more modern practices. Footprint deduction or redundancies etc will always be a consideration
If you set your stall out to gain market share and it does not happen.
I wouldn’t say 17 subsea blocks as the demise of DQ. Certainly not running perfectly, not as negative as it is being portrayed.
Feel sorry for employees but Geff Bird and major share holders deserve nothing for running this Company into the ground, have now a bad name in the industry, just a matter of time ending.
Who knew five short years ago that the words ‘Jeff bird has been appointed...’ would have led directly to the demise of a company it was once an honor to work for.
Who needs this constant pressure with the continual risk of being laid off not healthy.
If the opportunity does come you way for redundancy, grab it with both hands and leave that joke of a Company run by top level management money grabbers who dont give a sh-t about there employees which has shown from previous long service guys that had enough.Only way this Company is going, down and out.
Hope you lost a VXTe tree order ...
