Does Center stage and Volunteer hours help during appraisal. I am new to Metlife.

MyPath is a more interesting case.
It is partly to break down the silos that management has created.
It is also sold as employee development, which it is, at least in part.
But, it is also a work-extra-for-free, and do labor without a promotion thing.
They are pitching everything but substantial raises, and I've had it! Show me the money!

Center State awards are meant to replace actual pay increases.
Volunteer hours might infuriate your immediate manager, but will make HR happy and give the higher level Executives bragging rights.
It likely won't get you a raise or promotion unless you have some other special qualifying attributes that I won't mention here.
