The 12 was 2009 the 30 was 2016. But I still know people. Both india an sebia are a revolving door for hires. I would say 90% are grads. And those tend to leave for better jobs after maybe a year year and half. Ncr already has a bad reputation in Serbia on the support side. India just suxs at it.
As they say in Serbia we work here at ncr because we have to not because we want to.

“They hired 12 people to do the work of us 4.

Serbia I was let go on a team of 12, they hired 30.”

Sounds like layoffs here and massive hiring overseas.

“Americans are by far the worst techies in the world. Outsource outsource outsource!!!”

Yea that’s why when my job went to India they hired 3 to replace me. I was one a 4 on a team that was in a riff. Lucky i interviewed with a different team and got I . But I had to take escalation for India till they were comfortable. They hired 12 people to do the work of us 4.

Serbia I was let go on a team of 12, they hired 30. So cut you bull shyt

The only saving grace for this company is to outsource everything possible to india and Serbia while keeping a small footprint (WHQ) in the states. Employees don't like hearing this but it's the sad truth and what the stock holders want to hear.

The ramp up in moving jobs overseas has only accelerated in recent years. What’s left of NCR in the US will be limited remote staff and hands on techs (3rd party outsource too unreliable at this point). Software development will be all overseas as there is no reason it can’t be based outside the US.

The whole idea of having the hubs in Atlanta Serbia Dundee and India is to centralize and to be honest for the cheap labor the company is ‘thriving’ on. To me not my game so I would def not mind being made redundant. System issues are getting people out by itself. Horrible top management

The health of the company dictates outsource everything possible that makes sense. Some my not like that but it's the right thing to do for the company and the stock holder.

Anyone stating the jobs should be outsources must be a greedy higher up, some foreigner, or someone that was cut earlier.

95% of internal IT needs to be outsourced along with the dozens of unnecessary managers. Big waste of money and hit to the bottom line.

Hardware maintenance needs to be outsourced to 3rd party/contractors. NCR is software only baby!

Hands on CEs should not be cut unless a region has too many of them and not enough work. I think you meant Serbia and not Siberia LOL who would want to go there. You always need hands on in the field to support our ATM, Retail, Hospitality customers hardware issues. Macys has plenty of hardware issues as well as Walmart look at the number of tickets generated. Those 2 accounts are usually in the Top 5 of most calls.

There will be plenty to cut and trim during the next 12months. No one job is safe, everything minus physical hands on can be done remotely (overseas) for a heck of a lot less then paying talent in the US.
And remember the stock price drop was expected by the CEO, they flat out stated the drop was welcomed cause too many stockholders were not invested long term with NCR……NCR doesn’t need those type of day traders.

I agree that the org is too bloated. IT services, HR and finance can be cut in US and outsourced to India.

Prod support can be cut in US and outsourced to Siberia.

Only retain engineering tech team and probably professional services in the USA.

Cust engineers need to probably be cut too

Entire market is down. Stock will go back up after a lot of the org is fixed org is too bloated. I expect a buyout in high 30s

Stock has been pretty bad no sign it will improve unless there is another big announcement like selling the entire company.
