My entire team was informed today that T-Mobile is downsizing Information systems and our entire team is being let go. I am not sure if it is national or just my regional. We were also informed that Business Analysts and Data Governance analysts are being let go as well.
My team had the most tenured analysts in the entire company, the general consensus is that they are just going to rehire back in at much lower pay or completely offshore the jobs.
Sorry but offshoring rarely offers the same quality as in house talent. Once a company experiments with offshoring they start to face headwinds. Looks like MS and the Sprint leadership are flushing TMO down the toilet.
It’s true I was one that was let go the end of August, told me that my job was being eliminated as it wasn’t needed anymore. Well guess what, I got an email last week from a headhunter for the same job I was doing, the title changed and now as a contractor job. Less than 30 days of being let go. Get rid of wealth of info from a loyal employee and give it to someone that could care less, for less money. SHAME ON YOU T-MOBILE!!!

The company's goal is to shrink the workforce to the size it was before the Sprint acquisition. It only wanted Sprints spectrum and everything else is on the table to be divested.
Layoffs Sounds like a routine now, need to add layoff guideline in cornerstone.

I'll suggest they offshore it. Azure support is all offshore. As is Active Directory support.
