An EA has a customer with allstate homeowners paper. Over the weekend his customer called to uy a home policy. If forwrd to CCC and they bound the quote that the producer at the office created. The bound policy has the subproducer code on it. Now allstate coded it as 800 allstate with no credit to the agent that has the home policy. So not only did CCC use the quote from the agency with subproducer code still on it but also refuse to make the EA agent of record.

It's hilarious to think you don't see the writing on the wall. Allstate is trying to phase out agencies completely. Sell your book while you have a chance.
The customer is incentivized to buy the policy from the CCC. CCC policies are 7% less than agency pricing (Nice Job TW on giving away Margin.) Moreover, the CCC is trained to strip policies down and give state min. auto policies.
At the end of the day no one wants this customer. The Agent is not being compensated so no service from the Agent. The 800# ships these customers off to Pune for service. Customers don't like people that ride an elephant to work.
When the customer gets tired of the lack of support, "The Wolf" steps in and writes the customer with one of his great carriers. With all this TPP'ing going on, there will be "Wolves" all over the country there to assist these customers. The "Wolves'" love those 3 cars, House, and Umbrella customers. Wolves' like to sprinkle in some life insurance also!
None of this is true. The CCC assigns based on how the call comes in…it’s a system requirement. If the customer called the agent’s office and it was forwarded as part of after hours call forwarding, it would be assigned to the agent. If this happens in error and the agent reaches out, assignment would be moved. However if the customer called 800Allstate, it’s assigned to the CCC book. If something was done incorrectly, reach out and they will investigate
update - they made the agent - agent of record , howver there is no new business credit for two item to help with variable.
It's the truth - CCC folks are a bunch of pirates ! Agents have to resort to phony email addresses and erroneous phone #'s on quotes to protect ourselves. Un "f"-ing real what we put up with these days from this company !!
Yep. That's what we're trained to do. And if customers quote the same business with the CCC it is cheaper than with agents. We are undercutting our own agents. The Allstate way I guess. They sc--w their own agents out of business to get agents to waive the white flag and quit because agents are too much of an expense for Allstate.
