In our area, if someone quits, they’re often replaced by an Accenture hire or two. That is, with the exception of management. There, it’s a 50/50 whether they’re replaced or not. If they are replaced, they’ll take anyone stupid enough to sign up. Often without regard to qualifications. Sure, the jump in pay looks appealing when you’re signing, but you’ll soon realize why the rest of the managers quit. Of course, hiring an inept manager prompts their directs to quit… making the problem even worse than where we started. At least that’s how it is where I’m at.

Every year they layoff techs and assorted others in Q4. This is the circle of budget cuts that is done every year at that time.
