Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

Are we closing

Not receiving freight on our main truck day I know it’s been down to almost nothing but not nothing. Use to get 24 pallets a week down to 9 pallets and now nothing. Does this happen before they tell you that you are closing?????????????

Vendors aren't getting paid and if and when they do, it doesn't cover the true past due balance so why keep shipping products when these vendors aren't getting paid for previous purchase order!!! Also gotta remember if freight companies are not getting paid either - they won't ship the items if a vendor did ship and can legally seizie the items and do a public auction to get any monies from BBB.

Not really. Once they tell the store they are closing all inbound is just sent to other stores as you begin the liquidation process. Open orders are down about 1/2 of last years. Our pool will only run if the have full loads. The biggest sign to look for is a serious issue requiring money to repair. They wii NOT spend a dime on a store they are closing in the next few months.

To the last poster: it is almost embarassing that we are out of so much. We are just finally getting basic core products in. I am sure they won't last as they will probably be shipped out.

Customer service at BBB largely revolves around finding what they need at another local retailer. Happens several times a day. Will those customers ever return?
SG and the rest of the board sat and watched this this happen. They should all be fired. Absolute incompetence.

We used to get 14 pallets a day tomorrow we are getting 100 cartons. Yup that’s about 1 pallet. And we got in summer furniture today.
I don’t see any hope for a good future
