“Tenure not respected…”. This is funny. VPs aside, long term employees are the next biggest problem at Freddie. A bunch of folks not getting the job done and their claim to fame is “but I’ve been here for a long time.”
These same folks, who have never been able to get the job done, act as blockers for the folks being brought in to clean up their mess. If the new people are successful, it will show how incompetent the lifers are.
When the new folks have enough, they leave (and because they actually have real skills, they can easily get a new job). The lifers then go touting “see how valuable I am? I’m still here!” And things go back to the status quo.
It’s fortunate that Freddie is part of a duopoly. If this were any other company, they would have gone out of business a long time ago.
If you’re a new person, leave. You can’t fix what’s wrong with Freddie. It’s rotten from within.
