The package said healthcare benefits would continue for the severance pay period. Does that include coverage for your family that are currently receiving healthcare benefits?

Few applying for Vol Retirement….makes for larger downsizing targets this winter.
so what happens after Oct 14th when the VRP is done?
You fools. VRP is nothing more than the mandatory settlement they must give you.
When I took VRP, I received 2 wks per year of service. Max 1 yr severance. Benefits continue for that year. If you are thinking you should take it (and can afford to) don't think twice. Your career at Pep is over. The only reason not to consider the offer is if you are still on an upward trajectory. But if that were the case, you wouldn't be considering it. I took VRP 2 yrs ago. Zero regrets. This economy is bad, change is scary. Take the VRP and get another job if you must. The employment assistance is very good
To the person who’s been with Pepsi 25+ years, I’ve been with the company 20+ years and every round of layoffs I’ve seen has been preceded by offers of early retirement.
I’ve also been offered the package and it’s 2 weeks for every year of service, same that is always offered during layoffs.
What groups. Who? ANDOMINO!~!!
In all the years I've been at Pepsi (25+) I have never ever heard that they offered a voluntarily retirement package to a large group of employees. Just laid them off. I'm sure this will be welcomed by a few.
pepsi/frito all doing the same. those who qualify don't have to accept the voluntary retirement. usually 2 weeks per year if service but no more than 52 aeek pay out.
not sure on how the benefits work.
once they have the number of people accepting this, then they will make further cuts. I assume payroll for Frito is the next department to be offered packages
Is this Pepsi or frito? Any word on the details of the VRP……1 year, 2 year? Benefits?
VRP message was sent out yesterday. Still no details. Anyone know the offer?
Got served with a voluntary package at the age of 56. Thanks for NOTHING!
What is voluntary retirement? A severance package?
Yup. That is the start of letting the next round of Employees go
That's how it usually starts. Once they figure out how many heads are left to cut, then they move to layoffs.
