Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

LCS is set up for failure

Ask details of recently approved projects and you would be shocked how incompetent and behind we are versus the rest of the world.

Another algae greenwashing in the making but more public and devastating. Do not take up a job in LCS, you are expected to lie everyday. There is really nothing we have that makes us ‘leaders’, except money from Guyana and Permian. Which will see decline sooner rather than later with incompetentence and inexperience and safety incidents.

The company is set up for failure and will keep paying low, confirmed from Company Plan. Assumed attrition is 15-25% in the world. Yes read that right, if 1 out of 4 colleagues you know leaves, its part of the plan. They think they will always find more and are looming to implement a ‘churn and turn’ model vs ‘retain’ model.

I left the company when I saw the oily individuals that moved into LCS.

I wanted to go there, but was told no. I’m not a high value employee. It’s no longer a career. It’s now just a job.

Best to avoid certain individual in LCS. Don’t be fooled into thinking that your support will result in a boost in your career. Be aware of lies, flatteries, manipulation, and gaslighting. If it doesn’t feel ethical, don’t do it.

Seen many posts from the oil industry about green initiatives, LCS and CCUS? No, of course not, no need to greenwash now as the government's have been bought off following the Russian war machine and energy security lobbying.

Nothing to see here, move along. Expect to see LCS budgets reduced quickly...

...but 10 years later it will become apparent none of the deals were actually durable or even valuable. But there will be zero accountability for everyone who did those deals.

All the hipos in LCS are running around signing contracts and doing deals, they'll get their career ticket stamped and move on in 2-3 years, but 10 years later

It is fun to watch the scampering of brown noses to LCS, and those wanting to go spouting 'green' ideas. Love how when gathering for a meeting with management they complement those who 'talk' LCS activities. It's LCS that makes me want to take the Lump Sum in 2yrs vs. the pension....LCS is going to capsize what's left of the EM assets.

They missed their opportunity. Instead of putting the best people into that organization, they decided to make this an organization of favorites and scammers. It’s unfortunate that the best people have already left the company or will be leaving the company.

Yep, it's a fact. For LCS to make its mark they'll need to by companies who really know wtf they're doing. 25 % run off sounds low. Don't let the door hit uou in the asz on the wah out. Buh bye
