Anyone have insights on upcoming salary treatments? I suppose it will be a big sign whether the company wants to encourage attrition via low to moderate raises or be competitive via robust raises that are commensurate with our peer companies.

@1dcj Here we go with another one of these “I left to work for a tech company” people.
Each time this is repeated it becomes less believable.
Most tech companies of any size have initiated hiring freezes and rescinded job offers. Many are planning full-on layoffs, if they haven’t started them already. They also don’t recruit from O&G, nor do they hire in the same way.
If you can’t get up and walk out right now then you’re getting paid what you’re worth or more.
What, you guys are getting paid to work here? I was just doing this for the free coffee and PRIDE swag they hand out every now and then.
@1rdi+1iSezNO1 Your and other comments are the attitude which did cause me to leave and confirm I made the right choice. I now work at a tech company and the attitude is how can we be more successful so we all can make more money which is very different from your attitude of if you don’t like us paying you as little as possible you can leave.
Sam wise actually answered the question
@OP I think most of you are paid quite well considering what you actually do.
White-collar employees at operating companies have never done much. I think paying people $200k/year to log into Zoom calls and cut/paste stock photos into PPT slides is a bit of a stretch already.
If you think you can earn more for doing the same amount of work or less elsewhere, there’s the door ——> [- ].
Don’t let it hit you on the way out.
3 years with 1% per year salary treatment. Inflation at all time high. Record profits. Without decent raise to cover or catch up many will leave, expats will go home, people will retire and only a few will remain that actually work. Moral sucks I miss the old company I joined 20 years ago. Get it done, work hard and get paid for your work.
Maybe focusing on being replaced by people in other countries would be more productive. Stop the loss of American jobs! That is the threat more so than the individual pay raise. Yes we need to make ends meet but if we stopped the relocation of our jobs that would help us get the raises. It is easy for them to move the jobs to other countries but they are getting what they pay them. A big loss
If anyone is expecting anything close to inflation then you deserve to be PIP’ed. will likely be inflation/2 or even /3.
Deadwood won’t be happy until we get to 50k employees. That’s what the investors want, lower cost, lower headcount.
“I expect the biggest salary treatment of my career, with at least a 25% increase in the number of restricted shares I receive. After all I am underpaid vs. my peer group.” Darwood
@uas. Thanks for reminding me about her. I still picture her in high leather boots, a SS uniform and a riding crop. That's reward enough for me
Keep in mind, the current HR VP is still in her job. How will she compete on her PDS with her peers? By meeting or exceeding corporate wide headcount targets in high cost locations, such as the US.
In NA, expect 5% on average… roughly 2% more than last year. Maybe a little bit more because there were 2 yrs of CL promotion backlog to clear through which sucked up a lot of the increases (33% of the workforce got a CL bump and 5% raise from just that).

Regarding attrition, most mfg sites are planning for 15% attrition when you look at their hiring plans. So we can continue swapping out experienced employees for CNH (lower cost). Don’t worry our excellent cultures and training will rapidly improve their competency (eye roll)
OP, the game plan is to reduce headcount and salaries until the targets are hit. Expect minimal salary treatment.
Prepare to be disappointed
I would put my money on minimal raises for the peons and fat raises for executives who allows DW to treat them like Kelly Wells. They want all the working people gone.
