Thread regarding Fannie Mae layoffs

Any more details?

Many are talking about the upcoming layoffs. Is that true? Are the layoffs confirmed? Does anyone have more info to share?

We are in recession planning. Any position that was was approved to be backfilled is basically on hold. There are many teams that are making do with less. Don’t expect any movement until late 1Q or early 2Q; if then.

We are in a hiring freeze. There have been no postings in SF or MF in nearly 6 months (except IT). Both SF and MF are being impacted by rising rate environment. Business is slowing down. I know many departments that are lacking key personnel due to departures, yet not being backfilled.
