Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Contract is GARBAGE!!! Vote No so we can get a fair deal.

Record Revenue year's earn us the lowest % pay increase of the contract?
Garbage
We need a minimum 7% a year deal.
Between inflation, food and gas prices we're taking a pay cut with anything less.

Service recognition bonus of $1K to be paid no later than December 31st of the year it's awarded?
Garbage
Was this even negotiated? Might as well send this straight to uncle Sam. Recognize our service with at least $5K a year and have the decency to give us a date in writing that it will be paid.
We gave the carrier a interests free loan for the past 3 years and now they want us to celebrate over what they OWE us? Let's be honest they OWE you more than back pay.
Garbage

The carrier agrees to meet and negotiate over scheduled days off.... What have the carrier and the union been doing for the past 3 year's?
This is the last step of the negotiations before we STRIKE.
If they haven't figured it out by now maybe they need some motivation.
They want up to 180 days AFTER the contract is signed to figure it out?
Garbage

Self-supporting pools? I was born at night but not last night.
Garbage
If anything was left out just assume it's Garbage because that's what this contract is.
Vote No!
We Strike!
We get a fair deal.

"The unions can accept the contract regardless of how the members vote."

Then we strike and the company can deal with our new representation.

The unions can accept the contract regardless of how the members vote. There's nothing in writing that prevents it. Even if the vote is 75% against we don't necessarily have a say if it's rejected.

Typical company proposal. We will give you 3 occurrences all year for medical but we're gonna completely change the way the boards work towards our benefit. And we will add a extra personal day just to spite you more...no thanks I'll vote no !!!!!!

Every single TE@Y employee who has ever put a claim in is owed money.
Anyone who knows how the carrier operates knows that they do nothing short of steal from us when it comes to following the "agreement".
So yes we are OWED.
Vote as you see fit.

We are owed nothing but what is negotiated and earned. Quit you’re complaining about what you are owed and go to work. The railroad didn’t beg you to come work here, you applied for the job and accepted a job offer. Do the job or leave. Your choice.
