One of the things that drives me nuts is how Lowes preaches safety 24/7 and yet they couldn't care less about fixing forklifts, Ballymores, or replacing broken ladders, racking and aisle blockers.

OSHA has a safety violation form at their, which you can fill out anonymously.
I did that, store got a surprise inspection, due to cost of fines and fixes, that SM kicked to the curb.
Even more scared of their holy image being tarnished in the media.
They don't care about safety, they care about paying lawsuits. Just like thieves, you can't even do anything about it now but just smile and wave. Lowes is scared of lawsuits.
I remember when Lowe's had a repair vendor in every 3 months to make sure all the carts and ladder were in good repair.
Corporate you reading this? You better install Intoxalock on all power equipment before these new hires get somebody ki---d.
Our garden center upper racking is a collection of bo--y trap dead falls straight out of the Saw films. SM, ASMs and anybody with authority saunters by each morning on their walk and look the other way. It will only get addressed when a customer is hurt.
Lowes safe? My ar-e. Halfway thru unloading our truck we find a destroyed pallet of fire ant ki---r granules. The fumes coming off were dangerous. ASM made us continue to unload regardless of our breathing issues. We each took turns inside the trailer unloading. Lowes is "good ole boy git r done" mentality. Melvin approved this message.
We got a real funny poster hanging in our breakroom of all the safety team..all their cute smiling mugs that basically say "fake it to make it" SAFETY IS ONLY PRACTICED WHEN THE DISTRICT LP WADDLES IN FOR HIS "INSPECTION"
Fire lanes blocked with merchandise, OSLG hoses left laying in aisles, side stacks wet and collapsing, sand/stones/fertilizer from broken bags all over floor, fire extinguishers blocked…just for a start. I quit Safety Team rather than be responsible for the continued hazards,
MST nights is always in the racks with NO safety equipment. Manager looks the other way as long as the re-set is done on time.
