Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

I don't care about layoffs anymore

What I do care about is doing my job in a normal work environment and that hasn't been the case here for years. Is anybody ever going to do anything about the aggressive and bullying behavior of some (most) managers? It's been allowed to go on for far too long. Long enough to make me not care if I am laid off. At least I'll be away from that toxicity, and that's something.

Best leave now. There’s so many people there who don’t look at the facts in front of them and are thinking they’re gonna “wait it out” over some sense of loyalty either to what Citrix was 12 years ago or what they still think it is if they’re drinking the TK and Backstage kool-aid. There’s no honor in being the last one to turn the lights off to collect a severance check (probably won’t be what you think you’re entitled to - if you even get one) or get fired for any multitude of BS reasons so they DON’T have to pay you anything. Most of us peons were at-will. Get out while you can.

Everything said here is probably accurate. I would however stick around just long enough to force them to pay you severance. Although there is the risk that it will be bupkis money.

Based on the lack of available credit you can be sure that Tom will immediately move to balance the budget by reducing the expense side of the ledger. Mostly through head count. He must. The combined companies are going to have to float the boat on cash flows. Period. Full stop. Add to that the burden of servicing the debt they had to roll out of Citrix and the whole thing has a forty pound anchor tied to its neck.

Where is this convo happening where comments are being deleted?

Agreed. This entire layoff situation, not having money to pay severance, and forcing people back into the office is overwhelming. And I need to stop stressing about it because I don't care any longer. Eff these people. What is crazy to me is that I have been following the conversation on Backstage regarding the RTO. I noticed if someone is critical or upset, they are deleting comments. Someone called them out on that and they deleted that comment to. Shady af.

Given that there is a big company-wide Zoom meeting October 4, something could happen either that day, or maybe September 30 as that is the last day of the month. If you see Matt Quinn take over the meeting, get ready because he's the executioner.

No one knows for sure, but it is probably a pretty safe bet that they will happen as soon as the sale is complete or very soon after. Sometime around the first week in October.

Life is too short to work in a miserable job. Get out if you can. There is life outside Citrix or NewCo or ComboCo or whatever the he-l they're calling ig.
