In fact, I don't even know why I still care about this company. It seems that employees care more about Avaya than the leadership does. Does anyone else have hope that this place can be fixed? I don't see how it would be possible.

Just think of the many Avaya resellers who invested every nickel they had in Avaya and who lost it all. Broken lives, bankruptcies, broken families.
I think the worst part is that some of our peers that got laid off had 25-30 years with the company. They invested their lives in Avaya technology and the laid them off and said "By the way, today will be your last day, you will lose access at 5"
I understand they had to lay people off but to do it immediately where it was same day (coming back from labor day) and someone with 2 years gets the same severance as someone with 30 years is so heartbreaking.
Some of us went through all the divestitures, spin offs, name changes, going private, bankruptcies, hardships and they treat us like this....
