HR is not there to guide, coach or build staff capability or guide persons into the best fit job. They are there to protect the company. They are there to keep the machinery assembled and grinding. They want the nuts and bolts of the machine to be fungible, interchangeable, and compliant, meeting standards.

JG16 are people making over 200k with bonus to make powerful PowerPoint presentations. The guy going after Unilever (Nelson peltz) would force new management to slash that layer and above.

I love how 3M HR’s answer to employees wanting development opportunities is to require some online training modules.

USAC EO managers are useless, but HR might be the most useless of them all.
