Or fired. Up until a month ago, I was constantly busy. Now it feels like there’s less and less to do daily. Even when I'm actively looking for things to do, I'm met with a wall. There's nothing else I can think of as a reason for this change other than I'm about to be let go, one way or another.

Since you don’t have much to do, work on your resume and see what jobs are out there.

Two weeks notice from your boss? Severance package? Don’t hold your breath.
Less and less work during economic uncertainty is definitely a good indicator of something that is not right. This is exactly what happened to me a few years ago during covid. I knew something wasn't right. I was in hardware development. Work substantially slowed down. I asked my director if I could help out with software development and product management. He let me. A month later, he called me at 7AM saying that they couldn't invest in me anymore and my position was going to be eliminated.
Prepare your resume. As soon as your manager gives you your two weeks notice, start applying right away. Get that severance package and run.

They give you a week and pay you for vacation then your gone
Yup time to look for an exit OR talk to your boss about this change.
