Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

It is wiser to try to retain long-term employees

I can't see the logic in the business strategy of any company that does nothing to try to keep good, loyal employees who know how to do their job while hiring untalented and unmotivated newbies who will leave in a very short time. Turning a company into a revolving door is never a good option. I hope mgmt realizes its mistakes before it's too late.

It's already too late! The knowledge and work ethic they have lost over the last 4 or 5 years will never be replaced.

Like it or not, its been our path for at least 10 years. Over the last 6 months I've watched quite a few great workers walk out the door. I've asked how the exit interview went for a few I was close to while they surrendered licenses and reassigned their work on their two weeks.

When your a great worker, basically the exit interview is really nice, they understand, or at least say they understand a LOT....they ask why you are leaving, and they understand when you answer. Hand shake, some light small banter to keep it civil, and if you dont seem a threat, back to your desk for your last two weeks (they stopped armed guard walk outs the day of notice sadly)

That is our retention efforts. None. This is recent too....

Oh and Ive known several people who have tried to get real raises before, like the ole "you know it, and I know it, I deserve more pay for what I do" and i have never EVER heard of anything more than a higher numerical rating being awarded (so like you get 4% not 3% )

So yes, our current retention efforts are just hire more, not a thing is being done to keep someone or retain workers. Not a single finger lifted.

On the Republican comment. Yes there are many ISU/IWU charned chosen ones that have the life career bees paths now at director and Mgt levels now bbin Their 50s raking ini more money than they should. They should have never been in the leader path ever but that was HR plan. Keep the lease, narrative and groupies at the top. Easier to get cr-p systems and process through. The majority of that group are fake Republicans.

The women career path leaders are all feminists from way back all in league of women voters and other liberal stuff. They truly had no real technical or experience at all. Just highly paid actors. The technocrat play at Farm. Decades of it.

Woke and Progressive rich leadership never ends. Nepotism is common

All the Farm has and they promote that substantially. Harmed the company.

Leadership at all levels from TM up are all Democrats. They get their paychecks, Healthcare, and benefits off the backs of the people who do the work. Then they make decisions to line the pockets of their pockets. The people who do the work in operations have no future. They lie and steal. It is no longer a career.
