I love my job and ever since I started working here I tried to perform as well as I can. As time goes by, I'm gradually getting disappointed because it is very obvious that a good performance is worth nothing here. Unfortunately, this is not the only place where employees face this problem. I won't stay here for long, but I'm certainly interested since when did performance become almost irrelevant for career advancement here?

If your manager likes you, you’re safe. Performance is just a little catch phrase they use to justify laying people off. It’s all about how well you jump through hoops. And you better be on the right political side….
