Layoffs after layoffs, it gets exhausting. I have sent a bunch of applications and I hope I'll be lucky because this much uncertainty is totally depressing me. Who can be productive and do their work professionally when layoffs are constantly on our minds? Kudos to those who can withstand such stress, but I don't think it's worth it.

They already hire temps to replace short staffs. My department already did. Layoff your current workers then they quit and then hire temps. Good job AIG. Your management’s strategy is awesome lol.
There is no chance that anyone with family to take care off, is taking this lightly. They will find ways to scale back productivity whether in the office or not. 9 to 5 means 9 to 5. That’s all they are going to get.
Being short staffed doesn’t mean taking on extra responsibilities especially when you know that layoffs are coming anyway.
If deadlines can’t be met due to staffing that is on the management. If management doesn’t like it then they can do something about it, but the question is.. will they..?
