Thread regarding Ford layoffs

No way to make your job safer

Those who want to keep their jobs have no way to do it. They cut the best, which means that hard work and engagement mean nothing anymore. I don't bother trying to keep my job anymore because I know in advance that if Ford decides that I will be the target of the next round of layoffs, I will be, regardless of how productive I was.
Isn't that extremely frustrating?

Litmus test? Wake up, you are on a sinking ship with ICE, get off while you can or you can listen to the band play while you sink.

How do you know "in advance" you will be the target of the next round of layoffs?

Yes, it is frustrating. Jobs are going to Mexico. Ford Land has been hiring people specifically to open up a new center in Mexico.

Your absolute best chance at keeping your job at Ford is to be DEI and not toxic. Not DEI? You're at risk. Toxic? Nothing will save you unless you are >LL6.

This litmus test has worked 100% in all recent layoffs (2019 to date) at Ford from what I have personally seen.
