Honestly not going to get too excited after seeing the recent labor market updates- Employees are still in incredibly high demand and they simply can’t pay talent enough to get them in.
I know someone who got laid off at GS and got a nice severance and a new, better job, within a month, oh and they are not vaccinated. This round of layoffs won’t be as generous because they are not necessarily quietly laying off the unvaccinated because everyone there is now vaccinated. My friend refused to get vaccinated, was told to work from home for a year and a half and then they laid off and said it was performance related when it was obviously because of vaccination status. They were very generous with severance to avoid any noise. If performance was so bad, severance would not have been so generous. They think people are stupid.
