Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Actually, claims is overstaffed

claims counts are down. the issue is adjusters don't want to do any work, as usual. they just want to show up, 9-5 and draw a paycheck. this isn't a 9-5 job though. we're here for the customer. these adjusters don't get it. leaving on time is leaving early and leaving early is unacceptable. a lot of adjusters should be RIF'd immediately. maybe we can keep the 10 percent of the adjusters that actually work their desk. 100s of people are lining up for your jobs, adjusters.

OP is ignorant, stupid, and has no clue ... which clearly makes them appear to be Allstate management material.

If you are not in claims, your opinion is invalid as you have no concept of the amount of complaints that are handled at the adjuster’s desks. It is impossible to return calls timely as each complaint results in several phone calls. Calls come in non stop from insureds, claimants, body shops and attorneys wanting to know status of their vehicles. The only option is a 800 # and you are connected to Pune. Can never get a manager in Pune to assist and total loss is a disaster. And the new claims keep on piling up. Adjusters are working crazy hours trying to keep up. It is offensive that someone outside of claims would offer such a low opinion of the hardworking, frazzled adjusters.

Agreed, these lazy, entitled millennials and Zoomers ain’t know how to pull themselves up by their bootstraps! Back in my day we come in early, no breaks, and leave late to get the job done! Heck, I used to ignore my family for weeks at a time! Ain’t nobody wants to work anymore with all these handouts! We best start laying adjusters off, because, you know, claims counts aren’t cyclical or anything….we can just rehire ‘‘em in spring like Big Tommy and unemployed Glenn do!

Talk to the the recruiters. It’s a revolving door here at Allstink. The few that last a year are overworked , have poor morale and quit since transformative growth 2 years ago. Recruiters are scrambling to hire more LDU adjusters.

100's of people lined up to get hired spend 3 months training find out its a dumpster fire spend months quiet quitting drawing a paycheck and leaving, repeat over and over or hire qualified individuals pay them a competitive wage offer great benefits and keep them for decades. The latter was the Allstate before the dumpster fire ensued.
