Surrounded by "yes men" you don't have a clue how close your most loyal and experienced employees are to leaving...and are leaving.
The current merit offer for next year is too little too late.

I've heard insurance is going up over 10%, maybe 15%. Great times on the HMS Firesale.
Well, it is time for the annual engagement survey again. I don't even feel like filling it out because nothing ever changes.
Annual merit announcement followed next business day by HR stating health insurance premiums will be increasing for 2023.
There goes your 3% raise.
Oh brother this guy is a real piece of work. Just another attempt to look like something positive. The biggest others is that in order to qualify, your good for nothing local manager has to actually like you!! These are people clinging to these salaries while they “work “ from home and produce absolutely nothing. They have zero drive and offer less motivation. This company is not a good place to work. No incentives for people to keep giving. Tons of added responsibility and almost nothing for a raise in five years. We have a CEO that tells people if you don’t like it, leave, this isn’t a prison. Easy to say when you bank 20 million dollars while taking a Fortune 500 company into bankruptcy. 3% is laughable.
We are keeping expenses to a bare minimum while we continue to shop the company around like it still has value. The greedy executives think there is more value in the assets but we are still a fire sale waiting to happen post bankruptcy
The merit increase of 3% is embarrassing. The fine print states this increase is subject to approvals based on annual performance reviews. The performance metrics are unreasonable and unsustainable when everything we sell falls apart during service delivery. At bare minimum most could leave tomorrow and expect an 6-7% jump in pay. I am almost out the door and realistically expect a 27% increase in base for the position I applied for. That doesn't include other benefits that are also much better. Too little, too late. This ship has been sinking for years.
I see it every day, the goto people are gone. Duct tape and bubble gum hold the network together. All of this ask from teams to cross train is their last resort.
