Many want to believe the lies told by managers at all levels (e.g. "I care about you."). As stated above, "They cut your job to save their jobs."

Companies exist to make profit. Buying into their vision and values is a total and complete waste of time.

There is ONE reason to work and that is to get paid. Fulfillment, career progression, job satisfaction are important; however, the ONE reason to work is to get a paycheck. The rest of all an illusion.
