It is going to be interesting how the company keeps all these new hires around. They don’t get a pension, their 401k is average and the pay is middle of the road. In claims, 3.5 % raises aren’t going to keep people around. We just had another CS resign today, but never any plan on keeping the people we have, I don’t get how leadership keeps their jobs with the turnover being so high.

My pleasure.
Chic-Fil-a is paying $19 an hour full time with bennies. Let that sink in.
Wait, someone didnt bump a post from 5 years ago? or 10? This is current?
They do massive hiring around late summer every year due to emergency need for employees, since they wont lift a finger to keep anyone around, or improve working conditions.
Turns out its hard to keep people around expecting them to do the job of 3 people while being under staffed when the pay is comparable to retail jobs. Having permanent "we need all hands on deck" emergency burns people out, and there is zero consideration for what everyone has been going through working here the last 10 years, as we transition from employing adults into a family environment, and moving to an "employees are a cost" and constant cost reduction.
Top it off by addressing massive inflation, and cost of living explosions within the hubs you made everyone move to before allowing WFH, you have us watch a video explaining how we are over costs? Awesome. I wanted to see State Farm policy holders and insurance to be the only companies to not adjust rates for inflation. Glad I could shoulder that burden for everyone. Your bottom line here is shouldering too much for this company, and has been too long, for too little.
The queues aren't getting better in most departments. People are still quitting faster than they can hire. They are burning people out with mandatory ot and how busy it is. It isn't getting better.
What rewards lmao and how are things better?
All but one section of a single segment in claims has seen better numbers (by far still not sustainable though).
And UW? Ha! Hold times have consistently gone up over the months. Now an average hold time is 2 hours!!!
The operations are collapsing faster. New hires are not staying.
Troll is back
State Farm will probably hire 15,000 new employees (Execs statement, not mine) this year and no telling how many more next year. It's all a setup! They ran off 42% of all claims employees from 2014-2021. State Farm went from 71,000 employees to a low of roughly 53,000 at the end of 2021. The 15,000+ employee they have basically rehired are at a lower wage, with no pension, lesser capacity to learn/succeed and will leave sooner. This keeps expenses down. The other 58% of claims employees left, that have any tenure, about 20% are either at or will be at retirement age in the next 5 years. They are using that 58% to train all the new employees and they will continue to run them off or do another shake up like has happened over the last several years. The pandemic delayed their plans by about 2 years but it is still coming. Don't let them fool you! You are training your replacement. U/W...policy center is a disaster but so was the future state claim model and they slammed that through too regardless of the consequences. U/W your days are numbered! Please do not have any illusion that these useless bast-rds have your interests at heart. It still the same worthless pieces of sh-t running SF! Our loss ratios will/are go through the roof, growth will drop off as they have to raise rates, and SF will be over staffed going into a recession! They know what they are doing.....and you are not listed on their spreadsheet! Remember there is a person in a room whose job is to find a way to eliminate your job and has goals/ performance ratings based on how successful they are at it!
People I work with act just like the people on 60 Days In. Hiring? Laughable.
You have lost your mind
I spent the better part of three hours yesterday on hold on the phone or 400 in the chat queues for numerous departments. Ccc support, claims, underwriting. What the actual F ? Those dipshits in leadership have been responsible for this the last five years. Unconscionable that we have customers on hold with claims for so long. And they been promising better systems since 2013 and still policycenter is awful for the states that have it.
Better that's laughable. Don't be a minority at State Farm. All this diversity and inclusion they preach is just words. Way too much inequality if you look at the numbers for pay especially in Ad Services.
SF hiring practices and strategy and systems. Deception
