20+ years in with company - not a single bad review and Hi Relative Contributor 6-8 of those years. Had run in with Director/Sr Director about them wanting to massage the truth before a message went to Executives.
Basically I refused to filter the message and was told we didn't need to share the internal failures with Execs.
I told them fine they could type and sent the update themselves...
Two months later I'm on list for layoffs and I'm only one on our team to get hit...
Can't prove it but feels like a little retaliation for calling them out.
