I'm slowly giving up trying to always produce better results. Despite the great performance, I'm just stagnating here. Now I feel a bit silly for trying to be engaged so much. It is obvious that the company doesn't care much about having employees who are very productive and motivated. That's my opinion. What benefits did your great performance bring you?

Maybe if you are objective about what value you added you will probably realize you are the average dude. Nothing wrong with that, but maybe be a little more self aware. Better self awareness will end up motivating you to do work that makes you happy. Either here or elsewhere.
