Thread regarding 3M layoffs

Verge of Collapse

3M is on the verge of economic collapse. The Chinese are going to step in and fill the void and Minnesota will no longer be the home of Mike Roman. You better jump ship while you still can or you can ride to the bottom. Either way, hope is not a tactic.

Need to also get rid of the corporate jets. Compete waste of 100Mm a year. Government will force all of this anyway if they have to bail out due to hearing liability

The company is NOT on the verge of collapse, so please calm down!!

Its going through a rough patch and its good that we use this opportunity to get rid of all the fat in every country (US and Europe are at the top of the list). We need to lose the 9-5 mentality and be more industrious. And yes, we need an infusion of competence at all levels. We need to automate our factories so we are no longer dependent on ppl who fall sick half the time and are planning which variety of cheese curd to fry in the evening.

Lets also get rid of the ridiculous amount of money spent on golf (TENS of MILLIONS!!!!). Its a little qui pro quo fest annually with no benefit (so we get no quid no quo no pro).

Lets get rid of wonewok, 3M's boondoggle destination of choice. Remember the good ol' days when Belgium was the vacation spot for so many? Same thing.

Let's admit that we are a supply chain nightmare for our customers and no one has the courage to fix the problem. We have been implementing sap for 1.5 decades and still dont know what we are doing!!! And moni moni is only here because we need to meet a diversity scorecard. He is at best finance analyst material and we (WE!) made him into a CFO. Finance is on the verge of collapse because of the incompetence packed into it.
3M employees (me included!) are not activists. The day we are (we are SHAREHOLDERS!!), we can boo these clowns all the way from the 14th floor to the curb of I94.

Since when do “dynamic” companies:

  1. Poison drinking water with PFAS?
  2. Cause 230,000 veterans hearing loss?
  3. Lay-off people year after year while Roman and his gang of miscreants get huge raises?
  4. Occupy a city that as-----nates citizens in broad daylight?
  5. 3M is had to be ordered by US Government to make masks versus doing the right thing.

Dynamic, no. Disgraceful, without a doubt.

Grow up. Company has an 80B market cap even with the threat of legal issues. If they settle the hearing lawsuit it is a global powerhouse again in 10 different businesses.
