Manager's influence on cuts decision making

It's hard for me to believe that the managers didn't have much influence on the decision who gets cut. What do you think?

I can vouch for it. 100% there was no Manager involved in any of the IC layoffs as well as managers were the most impacted level with this lay offs. This shot is driven by directors and above only.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that Managers had zero say in it.

T mobile is really not important. The management does not care about you. I used to think a job was important. It is only important to make ends meet. Being happy is what is important. If you are there and are happy continue. If not leave. It is that simple. Sievert and Freier are liars. They are just in the right place at the right time. Still riding on legeres success. Time will run out soon. Everyone knows the stock is over priced since they spin earnings calls.

It’s becoming increasingly clear that managers are not trusted to have much actual control over their teams. They’re just a megaphone to repeat SLT directives.

When you look at the caliber of technicians and engineers that were let go it's pretty obvious managers had no say. These layoffs we're all about getting to a more middle of the road salary. Letting go a mix of those more in the high and low end of the salary ranges for the positions.

I had a conversation with a market manager. He swears he had no say. I believe him because they got rid of people he liked.
