Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Like a phoenix (it can happen again)

I was taking my morning bath and remembered how a lot of techs were IRF when the pandemic was in full swing and how a lot them were eventually called back. I think once the backlog starts unclogging a lot of the techs who were IRF this round will get the opportunity to return.

I was furloughed during the pandemic and then IRIF Dec 2020. I would never come back.

During the pandemic people were furloughed. That’s much different than an IRIF. That’s why they called sone back so quickly.

Unless you were in some "super critical" role you don't have a prayer of coming back...It's a year minimum before you become eligible to return. Haven't seen anyone being asked back...They just continue to hire tech wannabees and several months later they either quit or are terminated due to lack of abilities...money savings in their eyes is paying a new person half what a seasoned person makes....and doesn't CareAR solve all that? 30 years or 30 days of experience nets you the same result...right???

If somebody was let go during the height of the pandemic, and is actually available to come back now because they haven't found a new job, does Xerox really want them?

Why would you want to return?
