What's the point of bringing somebody to a meeting to share his experiences if you're going to ignore him the entire meeting? All that was achieved was wasting my time. I wasn't even allowed to say anything, and I certainly tried. Higher-ups like to pretend they want to hear your opinion but all they really want is somebody who'll tell them how great they are and how everything is fine. I'm so over this.

This whole working in the corporate world thing is apparently off-putting to some. Never in the history of a major corporation meeting held between executives and the masses of employees has there ever been legitimate engagement and active listening. If you think that's how its supposed to work, then I might suggest you are in for an acutely unhappy working career. Might want to jump out of the corporate world now.
