I've been trying to get a new job for a few months and I managed to get several offers but every one of them was much lower than what I make currently. I have a feeling that with all the layoffs taking place all over the industry, companies have decided that we are desperate enough to accept any offer, including the lowball ones. Hopefully people keep refusing or else we'll be in trouble.

What makes it so bad? All these H1B id--ts that will gladly accept jobs paying $8 an hour. They have lowered the bar, affecting all of us.
I am seeing the same. These companies are a bunch of cheapskates. Cant even get close to my $67K salary i had at Magenta. I was underpaid at Magenta, just couldn't get any support from my manager for a decent pay raise.
What the other post said...you are competing with h1b who always hire their buddies, are willing to work for dirt cheap, and use the visa as a way to anchor and get their green card....all telcos have this issue..but none more than magenta...
Companies have the upper hand. They will end up paying what they want for perspective employees. Take it or leave it.
If you're looking at jobs outside of the west coast, you'll see offers 10-20% lower due to lower cost of living.
i've always thought TMUS was fine with salary, benefits, bonus but the stock comp is a joke. no problem compensating c-suite with millions in stock, but senior engineers get 10k
Do you live in the Puget Sound region? Have you been applying for positions at the Factoria Bellevue HQ?
Please keep in mind you now need to compete against overseas T Mobile positions that have been offshored and also H1B's.
Please also remember that T Mobile is competitive in Salary, 401K, Health Benefits and employee discounts compared to other telecom companies in the area.
Share the numbers mate!
