I hoped that attrition would slow down and that the company would stabilize a bit, but it seems that employees will continue leaving in large numbers for a long time to come?

At this point working for Globalfoundries means you can't find anything better. Some people who are trapped by the visa situation are the exception, but for the rest it's lot easier to explain a career gap rather than why you stayed with GF past July 2022.

Quiet quitting - new term I learned but it fits with majority of my coworkers and colleagues I interact with. Why work hard and do anymore then bare minimum when GLOBALFOUNDRIES won’t give raises or promote you for years and actively gaslights its employees on this topic. So I think this is also happening in large amounts along with people leaving (attrition)
HR owns solution-ing retention as in other companies.
However it seems they only do a good job RETAINING their chief which is a day 1 Malta employee.

New to this post. Yes, it’s been painful watching so many leave. Only the good people are leaving, it’s as if other companies know exactly who to pick, and who not to pick.
Yes, there is an org announcement coming out by 8/11 or 8/12.
Benyon owns ‘solution-ing’ attrition (assigned to him by Tom C). This will be in direct conflict with how he treats employees and his view on money/compensation. Peter would be better for the shareholders in a procurement role.

HR won’t learn or are not listening. Or just flat out will not admit their policies for last half a decade are garbage and change. People are finally starting to recognize all the bullsh-t and lies at GF. I admit it took me a few years to finally accept that things aren’t right at GLOBALFOUNDRIES. That things aren’t the way they tell us or want to believe. And I think the majority of my peers are also realizing this or coming to terms with it. It seems everyone is super frustrated and fed up with the lies, manipulations and bullsh-t. So attrition will continue as it has until major changes happen. For some it’s too late. I am out in a few weeks!

Is this you again HR? Well I'll answer your question for you. As long as you keep doing just what you're doing with your horrible policies and hypocrisy, attrition will keep getting worse.
