Word is they were laid off a few weeks ago, was wondering what type of compensation they got.

@xjg Not in California for vacation pay.
I think the only reason they haven't done layoffs yet is because they are waiting to file chapter 11 so they are exempt from handing out severance. We all know chapter 11 is inevitable and coming either right before the holiday season or after. They have no cash to do severance!

If they file bankruptcy i do believe it exempts them from it other vacation holiday pay.

Not sure if they did receive a severance but as someone who was laid off you receive one week of pay for every year of service up to 16 weeks.
