Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Walmart has always put profits over people

Cutting people and cutting hours when we desperately need more people and more hours is nothing new. I'm sure the same goes for corporate. This means that nobody should be surprised by the cuts that happened and that everybody should be expecting more at all times. That's just the Walmart way.

It wasn’t always like that. It’s only been like that since Sam died. Ask around, see if you can find someone that ran into Sam or knew him in the old days. Walmart used to be a pretty good company to work for, but now, it’s not.

Sad, but true. And it’s not going to get better with the strong Indian influence now permeating just about every level. No one wants to say it, but everyone sees it. I personally know numerous people who are traumatized by the culture change at Home Office. They have to bite their tongues every day. This is not the Walmart they knew and it’s not the Walmart they wanted.

Absolutely. I couldn’t agree more!! Associates are just work horses. Profits over people. When is someone in home office going to realize this??
No wonder why associates are feeling unappreciated. No wonder why associates want to leave and don’t recommend Walmart to their friends and family to work there. Duh!! Wake up Walmart.
