My manager tried to "shame" me into doing somebody else job in addition to mine by accusing me of having no loyalty when I repeatedly said no and that I was too busy. Buddy, I'm not a dog. If you want loyalty, get one of those. I work for money. You don't pay me enough as it is for how much I work. Now that you pushed another person out and you have nobody to do his work, you want me to step up for free? Not gonna happen.

I left last year because I expected zero loyalty when the next downturn comes.
I liked the work, but I know that Emerson would happily fire me and hire three Indians to do my job.
Farr retired in Marshalltown?
They want your loyalty but routinely walk people out the door without notice who have been loyal to the company for decades.
That sounds like Marshalltown. Managers just keep giving more work expecting you to do it while others work from home or are the managers buddy.
Loyalty is no longer a word to be used in connection w Emerson.
