We'll be hit worse than other retailers because the people who shop at Walmart will be hit by the coming recession much harder. They will be forced to cut spending. This will affect our bottom line significantly and in turn cause more cost cutting. Or layoffs, in other words. Basically, we're screwed.

" things are about to get worse" is an understatement. People cant pay the mortage , gas, electric - millions. Food banks are running out of food. Sobering with wmt cutting hours in florida and else where with high inflation eating away at their wages and savings. Depraved disconnected 10000 EV,s purchased present wmt corp culture is right there setting the company up for layoffs and store closeures . If you want a timing for chrash and burn start after the nov election. Probably will not be able to charge the disconnected reality of purchasing 10k ev,s in calif or virginia.
Total BS. Like that person even has a clue.
Walmart will continue to have sales declines. Sadly- rural areas continue to see thousands of covid19 deaths per week. People who survive are often disabled and unable to work. In rural areas 25% of people get government assistance.
Walmart will go the way of sears…
Management is literally going around and making all associates sign up for Walmart+
It's all a numbers game but will prove unprofitable soon, in my humble opinion!
Yawn
I disagree. They’re paying OUT THE NOSE for the shipping costs on WM+. I ordered three items in one transaction and they arrived in THREE DIFFERENT BOXES on three different days from three different fulfillment centers.
They won't be removing the WM+ memberships for associates as they need them to inflate the number of users.
They legit sent out a memo saying not to use helium anymore for balloons for store use “because of the environment”…..does anybody actually believe it’s “because of the environment?”
Associate WM+ memberships will be removed soon.
