This spin will never happen. They will have to sell off the assets beforehand to address some of the liability issues. Plus that portfolio makes no sense as a public company.

Nearly 20 years at 3M here. Not counting Monish I personally know 4 of those people, heard of most of the rest, and I'm truly sorry for all of them. It is really, really interesting that several of them are long-term industrial and consumer business people, not health care...
The promised payoff had better be pretty good to get them to sign up... maybe C-suite jobs in the new org?
The term for the split is. “SEPARATION MANAGEMENT OFFICE”.
