Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Instead of solving issues, Allstate multiplies them

Allstate is not the same company it was a few years ago. It's getting worse every year. The workplace is increasingly toxic, the burden on employees is increasing, dissatisfaction is also increasing. Problems here just keep piling up.

On the other hand, the leadership always tries to give us the impression that they have everything under control. Does it also seem to you that whenever people try to actually solve some issues here, even more of them get created instead?

Allstate has been going in an automation and offshore direction for over 15 years. With that said, the headaches of the customers and the onshore staff due to the processes that lead to this automation and offshoring, are not a priority. Management is banking on the payoff of cheap labor through this “transformative” time It’s worth it to them in the end. The little people doing the work, have never been of a concern, at least not in the last two decades. If you can handle it and feel well compensated for the abuse, stay. If you don’t, leave. When India and the vendors are ready to fully take over the job they will. It’s a tough realization to come to. I wish you all well. You are the backbone of this once great company. I am near retirement so I choose to hang on ….for now.

How about the so called “anonymous ” survey. Read the fine print. Not anonymous . Mention a problem and it is your problem.

I went to a different carrier. It’s a breath of fresh air. The work environment is not toxic and you get actual training, can you believe that????? If you have an opportunity to go to another carrier, do it. I know it’s scary but you will be very thankful you did

The 2020 layoffs were bizarre. They cut many good people and left claims severely understaffed. The solution was then job fairs and hiring and training a ton of people quickly. And we all know how bad the training is. Pathetic.

And the home office stooges wonder why morale is way into the sewer and will never recover. And why 80% of employees don't care and say sc--w processes and sc--w this job. And why over half of workers hope and pray to be laid off with severance. This company isn't the Titanic, the Titanic had a better fate.

There are a lot of people at the company who have been here 20+ years. Doesn't matter if you're in management or not.

The company is where it's at because of the long timers waiting their time to retirement.
