Shell Gave 8% bonus to employees due to record profits

Why doesn’t oxy ever do anything like this? Devon did it at Christmas too. Seems like we are making the company a lot of money, but where is the thank you to employees.

Your goal should be to just stay employed. You will be happy with your current pay when oil craters to 45 dollars per barrel once the Ukraine war ends.

After cutting employees salaries 30% in 2020 I think we are all owed something extra.

Rumors swilling around of a bonus/stock handout in August / September time frame. I put likeliness of it happening at 5%.

Oxy’s profits are still going to pay down the debt. Besides you are compensated well so why do you expect more money when the company does well. Do they take away from you when the company does poorly? Now look who is greedy. If any group should be pi---d off it is the stockholders who are holding stock in a company that pays a pi-s poor dividend and has a junk bond rating. Oxy used to be better than this.

Hilcorp does stuff like this too. Greedy execs at oxy not caring about the employees who do the actual work. With record high inflation and record oil prices, you would think there would be some compassion from the execs, especially after the roller coaster VH put everyone through since 2019 with salary cuts etc.
