white males migrated to ITC architecture. No visual diversity there at all.

I always find it comical when the black lady at the townhall asks about breaking the “misconception” that she got her job because of her race or gender. Heres an idea - stop giving consideration to race and gender in hiring.

@3xhq, Didn't we get rid of that "gene pool" based discrimination a while back during WWII? If the playing field was level for employment opportunities based on merit the woke left simply would not tolerate it. That's a fact. Discrimination is discrimination. Just because your side is doing it for what you feel is a good cause does not make race-based discrimination right.

@3xgr A bit racist yourself it would seem. White males are definitely being targeted for layoff compared to diversity candidates. Is it true diversity if there are no White males left? Yes there are some left now but fewer and fewer. Its a type of discrimination honestly by the company. Race should not factor at all. The persons qualifications should be the only factor.

For having it so rough, I see a lot of old honkeys walking around the Chevron office. You think they would have all been purged by now.

So sad. From all these posts it seems our company is filled with racists. No doubt there will be a strong correlation between political persuasion, religious affiliation and state of birth. AI will allow us to screen these people out before they are employed and pollute our company gene pool. Time to make data driven decisions.

@2faa, Is that why the sushi and sashimi have gotten so expensive?

@1xzm, actually asian males are the highest paid demographic. Must be that asian privilege.

@1xzm, keep pushing that equality of outcome BS. To be consistent, you would have to argue the NBA and NFL are racist because they have so many black players.

Lol. Let’s compare the avg salary of all groups. And the avg salary of white males will dwarf all other groups.

@1brh That is so true "Racism is outdated, ignorant and unchristian". Which is why it is unfortunate that it is so prominent today to have thinly veiled racism against while males today in the form of loss of job opportunities for those who are grossly more qualified than many of the diversity "quota" candidates. There was, thank goodness, a period that the country went through where hiring was more or less "colorblind". It didn't last long because many so called "diverse" candidates (that term was not popular until recently) could not compete on their own merit. Now pressure exists to hire personnel of diverse backgrounds, regardless of their incompetence to avoid legal action.

If you are a white male you have little hope in a layoff. You can't call it diversity if you don't include White Males as well. Maybe executive management should be included in the next ROM and face the same criteria the rest of the company does to keep your job, white males are the least preferred candidates even if they are very qualified. We would have new management for sure. Chevron is a rough company for sure.

lol at the idea that any white man got preferential treatment. maybe if you went to college in the 1950s. When I went to college, there were no white male scholarship programs. There were no companies recruiting aggressively for white men. In the functional transformation, I got 4 shots at a job not infinite shots. Thats great that you have white guilt and thinks that makes you a better person. The truth is you are just a mindless robot that bought into the mass media culture propaganda.

ge-z old white man who thinks he has a raw deal - from a young white man. You are not discriminated against as you have had preferential treatment to succeed until now when it's more open competition. Please learn that if you are not selected its because you are not valued and likely because you are not very good. Racism is outdated, ignorant and unchristian.

@nns, What point are you trying to make in saying 90% of the people in a particular LEADERSHIP meeting were all white men over 50? It’s common knowledge that Chevron’s leadership echelon are mostly Caucasian. It’s been that way forever and I’ll be correct in saying that you should expect any change for a long time. The leadership of the company actually runs Chevron. But they make up a small percentage of the total employees on the payroll. The company’s policies and the woke politics of many in leadership positions is a separate subject. It’s pretty clear, though, that in recent years, the company and the people it puts in leadership roles have become increasingly discriminatory against white males and in particular those in their 50’s or older. It’s a real shame if in the wash, they are ridding themselves of a hard working employees doing a good job.

Literally in a leadership meeting last week where 90% on the people are white men and over 50 year old.

The company practices both ageist and racist behavior toward white males and those over 50 years of age.
Anyone denying this is either an HR employee (RM as* kisser) or is so blind as to be eligible for disability....

Try being 50 or over and a white male-when layoff time comes. CVX is ageist and racist. Just look at last layoffs and the bu’s that suffered the most layoffs if you were female or a minority you were pretty much safe.

OP, Chevron is not a rac!st company. But you would have been accurate in saying it engages in age discriminatory practices.

That is definitely not true or appropriate. The company is not racists but many of the employee are. This is dribble
