Who else thinks the number is bigger?
I hope that no more layoffs will follow but it seems to me that there is a high probability that there will be more. Could be wrong, just my opinion.

My immediate leader and higher ups treated me badly and I reported. First the HR was gone, then the VP, then the director and then the Sr. Director. I’m still hanging in there…lol

Exactly - Minority Privilege (Sucking up because they are terrified to be called names that are used to bully and grift companies out of cash) And then they get stuck with ppl they know they can't fire without being tagged with the mighty "Racist" name - and those ppl also know they can't be fired.. because they have privilege. Unless they mu---r an associate their jobs are secure.
These companies are cowards, stupid and self destructive.
Trickling it out is better PR then one giant number upfront - that's probably their thinking/ plan.

They brought in all these leaders like Donna Morris and Rachel Brand who worked for the government. Now there’s a smart business move. We all know how distinctions the government is. Let’s give them big decision making responsibility for our Company. Go back and look at Sears and Kmart. We’re heading down the same road. I’m getting a job with Amazon!
They came after the claims clerk, but I was not a claims clerk so I said nothing.
They came after the receiving clerk, but I was not a receiving clerk so I said nothing.
They came after the personnel manager, but I was not a personnel manager so I said nothing.
They came after the pharmacists, but I was not a pharmacist so I said nothing.
They came after the Ethics department, but I was not in Ethics so I said nothing.
Then they came after cash office, but I did not work in the cash office so I said nothing.
Then they came after me, and there was nobody left to speak on my behalf.

Verizon just laid off several hundred in their Consumer Group, Oracle had several thousand cuts too. Intel, Ford, Cisco - they are all getting ready to cut, just see their boards here. This is a big recession now and the management is doing now what they could not do during early COVID time (as it'd create negative image for the company). It's bad.

It’s more, but the company doesn’t want to look like it’s being mismanaged. If the true numbers come out then that’ll drive the stock down further. It’s one thing to do cuts, but to cut so quickly after the announcement last week means this has been in the works for a while. They really should be audited, I’m willing to bet they over stated their plans on purpose to inflate the stock price. You can’t tell me a billion dollar corporation couldn’t see the affects of inflation, over buying and a recession would have for this years outlook.
I would expect the Buying organization to get hit. They are very heavy in Associate Merchants brought in from .com with the big reorg 2 years ago.
