Thread regarding MetLife Inc. layoffs

Q2 Earnings

I wonder what kind of results we'll see today. Things have not been going well for the stock lately even with the slow climb in the last few weeks and I'm worried if there is no improvement that we might feel it in the way of more layoffs. It wouldn't be the first time something like that happened.

I enjoyed the gaslighting on LTL today. I don't know a single person to get a promotion this year but hey, somewhere 17% of people did! Take our word for it! Look at all these awards we paid for to show you how great we are! What's that? You'd rather we spend that money on raises? But then how could we show you how much we care with all these awards?

Great Place To Work! Why the need to display all of the accolades and recognitions on how fabulous?

1% raises. Where’s the Great Compensation award?

I can't believe we PAY people to apply for awards like "Great Place to Work".

Meanwhile the AVP cliques converse all day in the common areas. They don't even try to look busy. But yeah, layoffs for the rest of us.

AVP and above will be spared, as well as the underperformers. It's the talented and skilled that can find employment elsewhere.
