Anyone who moved their family to Bentonville from someplace else for a job at Walmart HO, you’re a freakin’ id--t. You just ruined any chance you would have at a normal life, normal career and normal children. Bentonville and the surrounding area has a su€k factor of about 9.8. If you got laid off, get out immediately and just go wherever you can right now. Once you get on your feet somewhere else, you’ll see how much better everything is. Being stranded in Bentonville and laid off is only going to bury you more. That whole area is toxic, it’s beyond repair and quite honestly, you’d be a fool to stay there.
20-40-60 -- 20+ years, over age 40, making more than $60k. Frankly, you need to plan to be laid off with a minimal severance package. I had been expecting it for over 5 years when I was laid off two years ago. Couldn't afford to quit. Life is better post-walmart.

Everyone should replace their name on their nametag with their WIN number, since that’s what they are. Numbers.
Get rid the overpaid social justice warriors in legal. They do nothing. All of the legal work is outsourced. Most unethical group in the home office.
Lay off the useless market managers, coaches, store managers and the useless market HR Managers so they can pay associates a decent wage. Cut all their bonuses.cut the fat.
I have survived about 5 of these purges in time at Walmart. It's not IF, it's WHEN you get laid off in tech. All the more reason NOT to move to Bentonville. You lose your job here, your next move is to a UHAUL dealership. At least the folks let go in Hoboken and Sunnyvale/ San Bruno have other job options. Walmart needs to be ?ore transparent with teams on who and why folks were let go, it seems once folks are gone, they are not spoken of again. With many still WFH, its stress we simply don't need ontop of our day

Walmart tech is probably some the worst bloat I have ever seen in my entire career. CTO is too d-mb to see it. Amazon will always be two steps ahead because walmart will never be a tech company tripping over itself all the time

my SO got affected after 10+ years, long nights, weekends, you name it. and he was not expecting it, he's crushed as he wanted to build a career here but he's in data / analytics and the market is hot, so we hope he'll be able to find something that's ok. i think they are using people, and the senses of family and team is gone.
