Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

Buybuy Baby

There's more talk about selling Buybuy Baby, any ideas about what that'll mean for employees? I know we're bound to see some cuts if that happens, but how bad will it get? Is there anybody here from previously sold segments who can tell us how it went for you? Were cuts deep or did the new owner decide to keep most of the employees?

CTS has their own warehouse- Middleboro MA and their own trucks
Since the sell off CTS had a slight hiccup but they seem to be right on track
CTS runs their stores differently from Baby and Bed Bath even though they were owned by BBBY
See each room is a cove with niche items seasonal with a little bit low to mid price items from Bed Bath- window treatments ,furniture ,wall art, table tops- whites, glassware, food storage, yankee candles ,health and beauty, paper goods, stationery consumables and food
The jellies from Trappist and Peanut butter Co. couldn’t keep these in stock. They were selling so fast
And coupons

IF Buy Buy Baby is sold it’s a blessing to those employees because they might survive with the right owner.

The mothership is toast. CTS is probably laughing at us now. They escaped instant doom.

No wonder why Baby looks so good. It’s because they hardly have any negative returns it lands all on Bed Bath and Beyond. I wish BBBY would have stopped that a long time ago

More like Bye Bye Baby. Overpriced goods in this economic environment will not attract many suiters. BBBY should have unloaded this business a couple years ago.
